چکیده
Objectives: The aim of the current study was to determine whether, using Hess area ratio for an objective measurement ocular motility, orbital blowout fractures should be surgically repaired. Methodology: 200 consecutive patients with were involved in this retrospective analysis (mean age: 27.0 years; range: 7-65 150 males; 50 females). Between March 2009 and September 2017, all received fracture diagnosis at Zia Uddin Hospital Karachi, Pakistan's Department Maxillofacial Surgery. All had surgery correct problem within 30 days their diagnoses, they monitored least three months afterward follow-up time: 7.3 months; 4-60 months). Results: Out instances, 155 (77.5%) floor, 31 (15.5%) medial wall, 14 (7%) both lateral walls. In addition, 132 depressed fragment, 58 trap-door imprisoned tissue, 10 muscle entrapment.

Impact of surgical timing of postoperative ocular motility in orbital blowout fractures
PURPOSE To investigate the surgical timing postinjury in regard to ocular motility in patients with orbital-floor blowout fractures. METHODS This study involved 197 eyes (92 right eyes and 105 left eyes) of 197 patients (154 males and 43 females, mean age: 29.0 years, range: 7-85 years) with pure orbital blowout fractures. All patients underwent surgical repair within 30 days postinjury and w...
متن کاملOrbital blowout fractures in sport.
One-third of orbital blowout fractures are sustained during sport. Soccer is most commonly involved. Though visual acuity recovery is usually complete, permanent loss of binocular visual field is almost universal. Typically high-energy blows by opponent's finger, fist, elbow, knee or boot are responsible. Injuries to the eye itself may also be sustained and should be looked for. Ocular protecti...

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE To compare early and late surgical repair of orbital blowout floor fractures. PATIENTS AND METHODS A retrospective, comparative interventional case series reviewed medical records of 50 consecutive patients who underwent unilateral orbital floor fracture repair in a 4-year period. Comparative analysis was performed between patients operated on within 2 weeks of injury...
متن کاملOrbital Wall Restoring Surgery in Pure Blowout Fractures
BACKGROUND Restoring orbital volume in large blowout fractures is still a technically challenge to the orbital surgeon. In this study, we restored the orbital wall using the combination of transorbital and transnasal approach with additional supports from the paranasal sinuses, and we compared the surgical outcome to that of a conventional transorbital method. METHODS A retrospective review o...
